Legal Defenses for a Hit and Run

If you were driving a car and hit someone else’s car but there was only damage done to your car, then you are not required to stop and exchange information.

In some cases, it’s possible that you didn’t know you were in an accident because the damage was so minimal. You have no criminal liability if you were unaware you were in an accident.

If someone else had access to your car or had stolen your car, then this defense could work in your case.

Have you been legally accused of committing a hit and run? If you have been arrested or charged with a crime, it is essential to obtain legal council for help.
